Home to the annual men's golf Masters Tournament in April, Augusta National Golf Club is one of the most exclusive and renowned courses in the country. Though the course is a private course, and playable only as a member or a member's guest, thousands buy tickets for the annual competition that has brought the course such fame. It is just a short distance northwest of downtown and not far from Augusta State University.
